Soltherm sponsored and attended alongside other likeminded businesses the Making Places Last conference in Birmingham this week (7.11.2018). It was great to hear what other businesses are doing to move to a more sustainable, brighter future. The event is a partnership between Climate Change Solutions and The RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce), which provides an opportunity for Fellows and others who work or have an interest in sustainability to get together, share ideas and help the RSA take forward its sustainability agenda.
The focus of the event was how we can make our homes and communities sustainable, and consider the practical next steps we can take together in the West Midlands.
There were a number of short presentations and provocations from a wide range of product and service providers, the speakers included (Walsall Housing Group). Paul Dockerill Changing role of Social Housing Providers and working in Partnership, Soltherm’s MD Steve Gapik who focused on ‘Can we afford not to have Sustainable Energy Efficiency?' The guest note speaker of the day was Soltherm’s CEO Maciej Korbasiewicz. Maciej focused on providing quality to the market and by doing this makes a good sound business whilst striving to work with partners.
